The Covid-19 crisis has affected us all, and I know that many of you have had to rapidly adapt to changing circumstances. The same is true here at the Mighty Makery, and I wanted to explain what we are doing to keep products available and to keep our staff safe.
As an allergen-free site we already maintain strict hygiene procedures and these have been stepped up. We have separated our factory shifts so that they don’t intermingle and carry out additional clean downs of surfaces and equipment. All of our office staff who don’t need to be on site are working from home and communicating via phone and video conferencing.
We have seen unprecedented demand for our products both from our retail partners and from our online shop. This means that we have been working very hard – in sourcing products and ingredients, in making and packing our products, and in ensuring that we ship orders to all our customers.
We’re cross-training colleagues to be able to fill in for each other as required and have simplified some processes. For our online shop that means that we have changed orders to full boxes only instead of individual packs – this allows us to pick orders quicker and supply more customers.
Finally, we have been sent some lovely messages of support from customers. We know how critical it is to so many of you that we keep supplying our Gluten and Dairy Free products and I’ve shared these messages of thanks with our factory team. We’re here for you and the encouragement and support is most welcome!
