"The Bake Off tent was once again shaken by some shocking news this week, as we learnt that Mary Berry, bastion of baking and queen of the soggy bottom, would not be continuing on as a judge in the new Channel 4 edition of GBBO. Paul Hollywood, however, decided to ""go with the dough"", accepting a three-year deal with the show.
Needless to say, this led to some rather heated debate here at Delicious Alchemy HQ (#TeamMary forever) but what we can all agree on is how fantastic our GFMBO bakers have been this week - and indeed every week! It was a real struggle choosing winners, but we managed to narrow it down to these brilliant bakes.
Kirsty Ludgate - this Salmon and Mackerel Quiche made with perfect gluten free pastry looks so appetising - perfect for a picnic lunch!
Rebecca Smith @ Glutarama - Rebecca's Chocolate Layer Cheesecake is the ultimate indulgence, with layers of milk and white chocolate
Morgan @ Planet Morgan - Morgan's butterfly cakes are filled with tasty buttercream and topped with loads of sprinkles - fantastic!
Your hampers of goodies will be winging their way over to you soon!
Tonight on GBBO, it's Botanical Week, and the contestants are faced with a three-tiered showstopper challenge... sounds familiar! Check out the amazing cakes baked by our 2015 and 2014 GFMBO winners for some floral free from inspiration. Remember - there's only ONE WEEK of Round One left! The deadline for all entries is 4pm on Tuesday 4th October, so send in your bakes before then for the chance to win some amazing prizes.
