Week four and you guys show no signs of stopping!
What a week! After the controversy of this week’s Great British Bake Off and the infamous ‘bincident’ we were pleased there was a lot less drama here at Delicious Alchemy HQ.
Fortunately, we’ve seen just as much culinary talent in the #GFMBO this week as we’ve seen on TV! From boozy Jack Daniels cakes and salted caramel brownies to lasagne, you kitchen wizards know how to keep us interested!
After all the incredible entries we had in week one of the GFMBO we feared we may have peaked too soon, how wrong we were! The creative, indulgent and technically skilled bakes have been coming in thick and fast.
First of all, a huge round of applause is in order for everyone who has entered the ‘Gluten Free Magic Bake Off’ so far. We knew you were a talented bunch, but we have been blown away by the quality, originality and creativity that has been put into each and every entry.
Do you love baking and think you’ve got what it takes to become our Gluten Free Magic Bake Off Champion? We know there are plenty of gluten free baking enthusiasts out there and we want to hear from you! We’re running an eight week competition to find the ultimate Magic Baker to be crowned the Gluten Free Magic Bake Off Champion. We’ve even created this catchy hashtag for the occasion, #GFMBO.
July has been a very busy month for the Delicious Alchemy team so far. Not only did the world’s greatest cycling race, the Tour de France, pass through Sheffield but we also spent three days exhibiting at Olympia for the Allergy and Free From Show 2014.
Bonjour and ‘ey up! It’s almost time to watch the Grand Départ of the world’s greatest cycling race – le Tour de France – leave Leeds and travel right through our home city of Sheffield here in glorious Yorkshire.
We can’t wait to see last year’s winner Chris Froome and Team Sky team whiz past on stage two of le Tour which starts in historic York and ends in Sheffield. And it doesn’t sound like we’re the only ones, with an estimated 250,000 spectators coming to witness this once in a lifetime spectacle, it’s going to be a very busy day!
The Delicious Alchemy team is going to be there to support all the riders and spread the gluten free word! Come find us at the Don Valley Bowl in Sheffield from 12pm on Sunday. Look out for our good luck messages dotted across the finish line. If you spot our signs, tweet us a picture for your chance to win a Delicious Alchemy goody box!
If you can’t get there in person, look out for us on the TV and let us know if you see us at any point.
If you are lucky enough to be riding in the race, our main advice would be: don’t bonk and eat our tasty gluten free porridge!
We have donned our brand new aprons and are ready are raring to go for the Allergy and Free From Show.
The event, which takes place on the 4-6th July 2014 at Olympia, London is hailed as Europe’s largest free from show. The most prestigious names in allergy and free from across categories from food and drink through to beauty and skin care will be exhibiting and we are one of them!
