Gluten and Dairy Free Chocolate Brownie Milkshake

Made with Gluten & Dairy Free Chocolate Brownie Mix plus Gluten & Dairy Free Rice Flake Porridge

We are all chocoholics here at Delicious Alchemy HQ so we’re so excited to bring you our new Gluten Free Chocolate Brownie Milkshake Recipe. Our wonderful milkshake is also dairy free – can you believe it?!

We’ve also included a dairy version using ice cream. Perfect for cooling down on a summers day!

Gluten and Dairy Free Chocolate Brownie Milkshake

The basics

Preparation Time: 20 mins

Cooking Time: 20 - 22 mins

Serves/Makes: 2 milkshakes (or 4 kid sized)

Ingredients

You will need (Dairy Free Method):

For the brownie

For the milkshake

  • 75g Delicious Alchemy Gluten Free Rice Flakes
  • 720ml of water
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp honey/sugar
  • Pinch of salt

Equipment

  • 8 inch square tin
  • Grease proof paper
  • 3 x bowls
  • Blender
  • 1 x sieve
  • 1 x ice cube tray

You will need (Ice Cream Method)

For the brownie

For the milkshake

  • 140g of vanilla ice cream
  • 360ml – 480ml milk

Equipment

  • 8 inch square tin
  • Grease proof paper
  • 1 x bowl
  • Blender

 

Method

Dairy Free Method (using Rice Flakes)

Step 1

Bake the brownie according to the pack instructions. Once baked, leave to cool and then cut into 9 equal pieces.

Step 2

Place the rice flakes in a bowl with all the water and vanilla extract. Either leave to soak overnight or place the bowl in the microwave for 2-3 minute. Stir and strain the contents of your bowl through the sieve into another bowl. Pour this rice milk liquid into the ice cube tray and place the tray in a freezer.

Step 3

Add all of the brownie pieces, half a tray of ice cubes, salt and honey/sugar into a blender. Blend for 2 minutes or until the milkshake is well blended. If the milkshake is too thick, add 1-2 tbsp of water till your desired consistency is reached. Enjoy!

Ice Cream Method (Contains Dairy!)

Step 1

Bake the brownie according to the pack instructions. Once baked, leave to cool and then cut into 9 equal pieces.

Step 2

Add the brownie pieces, ice cream and 360ml milk into a blender. Blend for 2 minutes and gradually add the remaining milk until the milkshake is well blended and the desired consistency is achieved. Enjoy!
